These belonged to my grandfather. My dad found them while sifting through some old belongings at my granddad’s house, and thought I would appreciate them.

Kinja'd!!!

Heavy, solid, work like new, and definitely my only tool made in Poland. Wonder how old this is...

Old tools like that feel so much more solid. I have a couple of old pliers and wrenches from antique stores. Even the factory tool kits from my old Honda motos are much better made than the  crap available today.

I regret not keeping one or two of my late father’s “King Dick” tools.

That’s really cool. I like old tools and knives. A long time ago, my  grandmother gave me a pocket knife that belonged to my grandfather. I don’t want to lose it, so I put that away. (I tend to lose pocket knives).

I have quite a few tools that belonged to my uncle. He was studying TV repair when he died in a car accident. When I was a young teen, my dad let me into his brother’s old workshop and we took most of the tools and equipment and I have them until this day. I have two wire cutters of his, one looks a lot like yours. I used his rubber mallet just yesterday and its holding up well. Not bad for something that’s 60 years old.

I've got some tools I bought from antique stores too. They're some of my best, most often used hand tools.

My paternal grandfather was a dentist. Some of the tools he had looked rather like this, but cruder. (He wasn’t a big believer in the use of anesthetics, either.)

I’ve got a handful of them mixed in with both my automotive & woodworking tools now.

interesting - any idea how he would have gotten it?  It’s not like Poland would have been exporting tools to the US probably since the 30's maybe?
